IAB LCCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia is delighted to announce that from SPM 2023 onwards, students who meet the requirements in SPM Principles of Accounting may apply for the IAB LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping & Accounting (assessed in Bahasa Melayu).
Students’ eligibility for the SPM dual certification is indicated on the SPM result slip. The eligibility status will be written in the form of LCCI grades at the bottom left corner of the SPM result slip. The LCCI grades will be stated as per example below:
3756 (LCCI) – Pass with Distinction or Pass with Merit or Pass
Should any of the LCCI grades are not printed on the result slip, it means that the student is not eligible to apply.

Announcement – We are pleased to announce that the IAB LCCI and MOE SPM Dual Certification Awards at Level 2 in Bahasa Melayu are now officially recognised as one of the subjects that can be combined towards fulfilling the subject requirements for the IAB LCCI Combined Diploma in Accounting & Finance at Level 2. This decision aligns with our commitment to providing a seamless academic progression for qualified candidates seeking further education and professional development in the field of accounting and finance.
Effective immediately, students holding the dual certification awards can use the awarded subjects as part of their subject combination to meet the combination requirements for the IAB LCCI Combined Diploma in Accounting & Finance. This will enable them to continue their studies efficiently, building upon their existing competencies without unnecessary repetition of coursework.
